Did you find that perfect gift for Mom on Mother’s Day? Whatever it might be, Moms are wonderful and love the gifts they are given. There is another a gift she will certainly cherish which is something you can’t buy but is very valuable to Mom–the gift of giving her more time for herself. Moms are chauffeurs, chefs, home care specialists, crisis managers, organizing and event planners, party hosters, therapists, nurses, and caretakers just to name a few, everyday.  Not to mention they do all those  jobs on a budget, and of course with no salary. Moms are loving, sacrificing,  and forgiving.  They are our mentors, cheerleaders, advisors, and counselors. They abundantly offer friendship, laughs, encouragement, guidance and loyalty.

So for everything Mom does for us, how about giving her a few extra minutes everyday for herself? With those few extra minutes a day, she can take some time for herself to rejuvenate, fit in exercise, and find time to eat healthier. Kids and family members can help Mom get those few extra minutes a day by helping out with the cooking, or some cleaning tasks, feeding the pets, or taking out the trash. Try to think of about 3 things daily that can free up about 20 to 30 minutes of Mom’s day. Then try to do those things for her at least 2 to 3 times a week or more. You’ll be amazed at how refreshing that will be for Mom!  That time is a daily gift to honor her, help her take care of herself and  live a healthy lifestyle.
